From UW
It`s like autumn in Seattle now.
Seattle is a big city.
There are a lot of tall buildings in downtown.
The city is located on the sea like Kobe.
UW(University of Washington) is located on the lake,
about 20 minutes bus ride from downtown in Seattle,
and many campus buildings are in a large site like a large park.
They are very beautiful.

Now, I have some orientations before classes start.
The class starts on Sept 29 here.
I see many kinds of students from all over the world.
I found that there are lots of international students
from Asian countries, and I heard that Korean students
are the most.
As one of International students orientation programs,
I went to Safeco Field and watched the Mariner`s baseball game
with other International students. It was more interesting than I expected.
The atmosphere in the stadium was fantastic.
I thought that it cannot be felt on TV.

I met professors, Prof. Zuberbuhler and Prof. Deines
on last Friday.
They helped me to plan my course schedule, and
said to me they would help me every time I need.
There are so nice and kind teachers here, too.

Now I stay in an apartment for grad students located in UW.
A unit I stay now has 4 single rooms, 2 bath rooms, 1 kitchen,
and 1 living room.
So, my roommates are 3 guys.
One is a Korean who study civil engineering in PhD.
Another is also a Korean who study economics in PhD.
And the last is a Dane who study architecture in Master course,
the same as me.
They are nice guys and so kind.
I think that I can enjoy my life here.

I stayed in a youth hostel for 4 nights,
but I moved in the apartment on last Sunday.
So I finally got my new address below.

3801 Brooklyn Avenue, NE,
Stevens Court Apartments #M207-D,
Seattle, WA,
98195
USA

If you have a chance to visit Seattle,
visit me.
See you.

From Seattle
Sorry. I cannot write in Japanese here, and also I am not good at writing in English. It must be hard to read for you.

I arrived at Seattle yesterday.
It is cool and cloudy outside here now.

Now I am writing this report in Seattle Public Library designed by Rem Koolhaas. It is located in business building area. It looks like crystal outside, but it is complicated inside.

There are a lot of PCs here (about 400 PCs). So people use internet or word or others easily.

We can see and find different scenes and places in this liblary.

There are many colors (white, black, yellow, red, green...) and atmospheres (busy, noisy, large, small, and quiet...). We can choose a lot of routes to find books. It is interesting and good experience for me to walk around in this library. I feel that other people also enjoy spending time here.

ついにUW(University of Washington)への留学が現実のものと
